No Hurry
“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.” ― A.A. Milne

The Obstacle
One thing
To the next.
Seven days a week
All the hours we wake.
Even when we’re not in a hurry
We still rush
Feel pulled
Check the time
Move with urgency.
The mind won’t rest
So the body follows
Task
To task.
We tire
Drag on
Push through.
The Gift and Opportunity
We choose to say busy
When we could say no.
Busy is not always good.
It’s ok to rest.
Not every day
Needs to be a race.
The body needs rest
The mind needs rest
To recharge
Create distance
Gain wisdom.
On the seventh day
Even the Lord rested
Commanded that all rest
Even the fields.
Slow it down
Don’t rush
No hurries
Rest.
The Practice of Self-Mastery
• Feel the rush
• Slow the pace
• Rest the mind and body
• Recharge
CHEAT CODE: SLOW DOWN → REST → RECHARGE
